The monthly food allowance for each inmate is NT$2,300. Breakfast options are served on a rotating basis and include steamed buns, steamed buns with meat filling, soy milk, peanut rice milk, and plain congee with pickles.Lunch and dinner consist of three dishes accompanied by soup, and fresh fruit is provided regularly.
To celebrate inmates’ birthdays, special meals are offered weekly. These include meat noodles (or vegetable noodles for vegetarians), cakes and eggs.During traditional holidays such as Chinese New Year, Dragon Boat Festival, and Moon Festival, the quality and quantity of meals are improved to help reduce inmates’ stress and anxiety.
This approach ensures nutritional needs are met while incorporating cultural traditions to boost morale and provide comfort.
