Record of actual events on May, 104

On the year of 104, May 5^th, the Mother’s Day face to face visit was held in the Taipei prison auditorium. This event’s purpose was to allow inmates with excellent behavior the chance to interact with their family members in close proximity, and we hope that by this little family reunion, the family’s power of love will have a positive influence on the inmates and thus help them start their life anew.

This event was hosted in two separate sessions. Once in the morning from 9:30 to 11:00AM, and once in the afternoon from 2:00 to 3:30PM. The prison had also kept in consideration that some inmate’s relatives might be of old age and have difficulty moving about, so we especially assigned a staff member to provide any assistance necessary and to offer wheel chair if required. We hope to give everybody a relaxing and joyful experience at this special event.

At this event love and warmth will be the main theme. We will play some light music, offer drinks and snacks, and on the center stage, we will display the inmates’ drawings on the topic of “My Mother”.

This little family reunion will last till 4:00PM. After embracing the children, spending time with the family, shedding a few tears of joy, everyone will be reluctant to separate from each other, nonetheless, the inmates and their family will exchange words of love and say goodbye to each other, and this is how this event will be concluded.
